Moab, Utah in 2009!!

(Vendors, read the 5-step money-back guarantee: 1) After you have paid the FULL FEE…2) and for every antique vendor who also pays the full fee…3) who ALSO tells me that YOU referred them…4) YOU will get $5 off your fee, up to three referrals…5) to be refunded to you at the show. Spread the word and get money back off your paid fee!)

You are invited to be a vendor of antiques and collectibles at the 2009 MOAB ANTIQUE MART, currently scheduled for the last weekend in June, 2009. Saturday  (10 am – 6 pm) and Sunday,  (10 am – 4pm). This fun and well-publicized event will be held at the popular Swanny City Park, just west of Hwy 191 and on the corner of 400 North and 100 West.

SET-UP: If you bring a canopy (highly recommended to protect you from the sun), set-up is Friday  from 5 pm to 8 pm or Saturday morning from 7:30 am to 10 am. Be ready to sell by 10 am sharp, if not earlier. Again, canopies are highly encouraged at this time of the year.

SPACES to RENT & PRICES: Spaces are right on the grass, and prices cover BOTH days. No guarantee of shade. Spaces assigned first-come, first-served and are non-refundable.

10’ x 10’ for $160 or 10’ x 15’ for $240

There are also PIE SHAPED spaces under the raised and round Pavilion, with each measuring 15′ across the front, and 20′ sides which come to a point. Customers will be walking around the outer part of the circle, looking inward at your space. Those are $175 and covers both days!

No other fees. You can rent the space with another vendor if you like, but full fee is due from one of you. The city of Moab does not allow you to camp in your space.

PAYMENT: Payment (check, money order, or cash) is due in full to Laughing Grape Productions (or LGP), and if payment is POSTMARKED by the last day of March,  you can take $15 off per space.  If payment is POSTMARKED by the last day of May, you can take $10 off per space. No spaces are held, and you will be assigned your space only after payment is received.

Once you have purchased a space, it has been sold and is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may substitute another vendor of antiques in your space, but you MUST call or contact us and give a name, contact info, plus what they will be bringing.

Spaces must be manned during the event at all times by you. Spaces may remain overnight, but security is ONLY provided Saturday night, so you’ll want to remove your expensive items and cover the rest at your own risk.

WHAT YOU CAN SELL; WHAT YOU CAN’T: This is an antique sale, so bring antiques, vintage collectibles and old stuff. You can mix in newer copies of old stuff, aka reproductions, but you must NOT represent them as old, and they should be a minority of what you are selling. No garage sale items; no junk; no modern stuff. If you bring art, make sure it’s vintage or old. Bring some affordable smalls with your expensive bigs to have something for everyone!! You are not allowed to sell food unless you are signed up as a food vendor in the designated food vendor area. If your items do not meet the standards described, you will be asked to leave without refund.

ADVERTISING: We’re shouting about this to the sky! LGP will be heavily promoting this Mart via multiple posters, flyers, highway signs, mailings, television and newspapers in order to attract buyers to this fun event from everywhere. In addition, Moab will already be jammed packed with tourists who will be directed to the event with handouts or signs, and some of those “tourists” will be international with plenty of money to spend!!

WHERE TO STAY: Try this site: www.discovermoab.com/hotels or www.tripadvisor.com. Or call the Moab Area Travel Council at 800-635-6622 or Moab Central Reservations at 800-748-4386. RV’ers–you need to call ahead and reserve a spot! BONUS: the Big Horn Lodge (Motel) has agreed to give antique dealers $20 off their rooms on Friday and Saturday night, making your cost around $65 a night before taxes. 800-325-6171.

THE WEATHER & YOU: Remember: the end of June in Moab is not for the faint of heart. It’s hot. So strongly consider bringing a large umbrella at the least, or even better, a canopy (borrow one from your friends, or you can buy them, which range from $110 up new at Wal Mart for a 10 x 10, and there are larger sizes. Also google “canopy”.) Bring plenty of water and sunscreen. There is no guarantee of a shady spot. Sorry, we are unable to refund for bad weather or cancellations.

SALES TAX: A temporary sales tax license will be issued at no cost at the beginning of the show. The tax rate in Moab is 7.8%. Exhibitors are responsible for reporting sales from this show directly to the Utah State Tax Commission. Sorry, but we have to be honest to be legit year-to-year and continue providing you an annual and great antique show to sell in!

Uh oh. No pets are allowed on the premises of the Swanny City Park.

Fill out the application (see link to the left) and mail with registration fees (check or money order) to: Laughing Grape Productions: 454 East 100 North; Moab, Utah 84532

Fee is non-refundable and is for both days.

Tear down is at 5 pm Sunday. NO EARLIER and NO EXCEPTIONS.

Get ready for a successful and FUN antique show in one of the most beautiful and fun areas in Utah!
